Will NOT bevel-cut through 3/16 foam core
Oops, wrong tool. I thought 3/16 foam core was a standard, if max, thickness for matting a photo or art. It didn't cut all the way through the foamcore material in a pre-matted photo frame they sell there, either. Wish I'd known the max cut thickness.
Works great, easy to use
Bought this today because I have a bunch of pictures to frame and mat, and figured if this works out I will save quite a bit on matting them myself. Watched some videos which helped a lot, and it was so quick and easy, very happy. Great price too!

I read the other reviews, but I have found this mat cutter to work great. The same model sells for a lot more at other vendors. Interesting that it receives much higher ratings on those sites?? For general use for hobbyists, it's a good device to have.
Very good for framing as a hobby!
I love framing my artwork and memorabilia but can't always justify the cost of custom framing. Now I buy ready-made frames and cut my own mats for the art inside. I'm sure that the more expensive models are better, but for this price it is amazing.
Great for novices
I bought this as I have 3 large frames and wanted multiple photo inserts and it was going to cost almost the same for one frame to be customized as the cost of the machine. It’s brilliant! Easy to use and output looks great.
A Must Have!
I love this mat cutter. I add professionalism to my own pictures and frame pictures as gifts for others. It works beautifully. Those who complain are either not handy, don’t read instructions or don’t take time to measure carefully. EZ to use.
Very disappointed
Bought this new, but the blades appear to be dull. It chews the mat instead of a clean cut. I'm going to buy some new replacement blades to see if that helps, otherwise, it's going back to the store. Very disappointed!
Fantastic kit
I am impressed with this kit. It does have a learning curve, but after a little practice, it does professional looking cuts for less than one custom frame job. I found this on sale in store for even less than online, definitely the best price anywhere.
