Gray Air Dry Clay is a great choice for your all-purpose modelling clay needs. This gray clay is treated to ensure freshness and it is ideal for hand-building, modeling, sculpting, and using at the pottery wheel.

If your creations start to dry before finishing, simply soften the clay with water to keep it moist and when storing your unfinished creations cover them with a damp paper towel and add your unused clay to into a sealed plastic bag. Once your piece is dry, you can shellac it to waterproof it and give it strength, you can decorate it with paints and markers, or you can fire it to cone 04 hardness/permanence and glaze it.

Package contains 10 pounds of clay.

Works perfectly

Make sure you mold on wax paper and if it ever get dry than just seal it in a moisturized container for a few days

Good stuff

It works very well. It dries nicely without cracking and it is fun to use.

Texture is nice, but it smells so bad

Bought for a kids project and had to throw it away. The clay smelled so strongly of formaldehyde it brought me back to my anatomy labs in college. Maybe this is normal for this type of clay? Not a potter :)

'Ol Faithful

I dabble in sculpting and bought a box of this type of clay a decade or so ago and I still work from the same box from time to time. It has dried out a few times but it's nothing water can't fix. Point being, this brand of clay is great and long lasting.

toxic and terrible

I would give this clay Zero stars! It is labeled "natural clay", but it smells very strongly of formaldehyde. How can this be okay to sell?

Awful

Cracks no matter what. Awful. Go for crayolas clay instead

Terrible

I bought this for a school project so I could have it done on time, and boy was I wrong. The clay cracked and smelled like chemicals. I ended up turning the assignment late because I had to get a different type.

Formaldehyde

This clay smells so strongly of formaldehyde the it will give you a headache. It cannot be safe.

Brittle

Dont waste your time with this clay. Youll spend hours perfecting it and it will still snap with the slightest touch after drying. It also doesnt hold paint well at all.
