Overall, great kit for a beginner
I got a sewing machine for my birthday and bought this kit to get started. Aside from the scissors being basically useless, this kit has been extremely useful - and it was a good deal, too!
Great for a beginner
The scissors aren't the greatest. The kit doesn't need the rotary marking tool. It's a waste having it with the kit if you don't have the marking paper that you need to use it with. Very pleased with everything else.

You get what you pay for…
The pins that came with my kit were about the gauge of hanging nails with some being blunt or having no point. As mentioned by another rewiewer, the scissors are near useless for cutting fabrics as you cant make long smooth cuts.
