Don't waste your money
I bought this for use at my daughter's first birthday. 4 young kids used it to hit the pinata then a 6 year old girl used it and it broke in half! It was made of weak PVC pipe. Get or make a wooden one and pass on this one!!

Not sure why for the bad reviews, it worked perfect for me in September ‘22! Buying another for this year! My adult brothers even got in and used it to knock the heck out of the piñata and it held up fine!
