The wood is super flimsy and splits easily. And the way in which this needs to be assembled makes it very difficult to hammer the nails in, difficult to handle small pieces. Don't waste your money.
Not a one day project.
If you think this is going to be a quick, fun project, you're mistaken. Nails and wood are both flimsy.

Wood split with first nail
Returning it now. Put the first nail in and the wood split right in half.
Its not working
Its hard to make and its not even work with wood glue. I had to throw it away
Trash
Bent hardware, split wood. Directions are backwards and make things more complicated. Save yourself the headache.
Ok for the money
Found this better than previous reviews.Was a fun project for small kids and sturdier than we expected for the price we paid. Nail were too short but we made due. Kids loved it and so do the birds.
Flimsy and cheap
Get a big tube of Liquid Nails for this one. Nails in kit are soft and some were slightly bent at purchase. Wood splits easily. Instructions are not instructions at all… more like recommendations. Need a benchtop vice to hold things together to nail.

Good project to help kids with
My grandkids and I made 3 of these. They were easy to assemble and sturdy once finished. They had fun painting them.
