Leather Butterfly Chair Recall
July 2009
Dear Hobby Lobby Customer:
On behalf of Hobby Lobby Stores, Inc., I want to assure you that product safety is our highest priority. For that reason, I want to let you know that we recently learned that an item sold at our stores from approximately February 2009 through April 2009, a 2009 Leather Butterfly Chair (Item number MI-1007), has been recalled due to the possibility of the legs detaching, causing the chair to collapse. The chair was manufactured in India, and Hobby Lobby sold approximately 500 chairs in our retail stores.
In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Hobby Lobby is voluntarily recalling the chair. The Leather Butterfly Chair is brown with copper tube legs. The leather seat has stitching similar to baseball stitching.
The 2009 Leather Butterfly Chair retailed for $199.99. The chair was sold at Hobby Lobby retail stores nationwide from February 2009 through April 2009.
If you have this chair, please stop using it and return it to the nearest Hobby Lobby for a full refund with receipt or an exchange card without receipt. (Without receipt exchange card will be issued at the lowest sale price.)
On behalf of Hobby lobby, I sincerely apologize for any concern this recall may cause and for any inconvenience to you. The safety of our customers is our overriding concern. We hope that you will continue to enjoy our products with confidence.
If you have any further questions, visit your nearest Hobby Lobby or call our toll free telephone number at 1-800-326-7931.
Sincerely,
David Green, CEO
