I originally bought this for my sewing room but now use it for so many different things I had to buy another one. Great light, great magnification, with a small close up for those really tiny jobs. I could not be happier with this purchase.
The magnifying lens is VERY good.
The flexible neck IS difficult to bend, but with care can be put into a useful position. Changing from desktop to floor requires extreme effort involving tools, so you have to pick one or the other. I really like the magnifier & HL's price is great.
Bought as a floor lamp for crocheting at night
I had been looking for a good floor lamp to put beside my couch so I have adequate lighting when I crochet at night. The height of this floor lamp is great when seating on my couch and I have the light above my head.
Less than a year
I've had this less than a year and the connector/plug no longer works. I have to move it around in the outlet to get the perfect spot for the light to work if im lucky it will stay on for 30 minutes, but it usually flickers off within minutes now.
Helps greatly
Use it for jigsaw puzzles, and reading. Does a great job.
Magnifying ott light
Just received it and set it up. Had problems seeing to stitch with 36 count black fabric. Absolutely love it and wish I'd ordered it sooner. Very easy to use. Keeping it as a tall lamp because it's very flexible for me
