Keep cleaning fluid away from this Mat
What I like, both metric and inch scales, thickness and price. What I don't like, the mat is not solvent proof. I spilled acetone on the mat and the surface melted. I will look for a different mat since I sometimes use acetone for cleaning.
buy a smaller mat.
Like the previous review, these mats are not recommended as a hobby mat. Glues, paint thinners, and solvents all will destroy the lettering and lines on the mat. Everyone spills, it just happens. Buy a smaller mat just for cutting. Use a cheap table cover

I bought this mat about 3 days ago, and it's working well for me, the thickness, and ruling is a pro, I feel like the price is a lot for this mat, but it's working well.

I paid more for the smaller one I have and its resistant to solvent. when I cut on it it like nails on chalk board. This one cutting is like butter. plus I appreciate the MM I do Bandai hasegawa and tamiya models none of which use inches. For the size

I don't know why it reeks of a chemical/alcolhol smell, but its great for cutting balsa wood.
