Project Instructions
-
Step 1
Supplies: Bath Bomb Base, bath bomb mold, essential oil, inclusions, colorant, spatula, measuring spoons, measuring cup, mixing bowl
-
Step 2
Measure 8 ounces of bicarbonate mix to large bowl. Drop desired amount of essential oil into mixture and blend with spatula.
-
Step 3
Add water to mixture, a tablespoon at a time. Stir and press mixture to remove clumps. Test readiness by squeezing mixture into your fist. If it sticks together, it's ready; if it crumbles, it needs more water. Mix in several drops of colorant.
-
Step 4
Add about 15 teaspoons (when recipe is doubled) of citric acid for one bath bomb. Note: Citric acid should bubble up and fizz.
-
Step 5
Stir all components.
-
Step 6
Sprinkle inclusions of your choice (we used lavender) into mold half.
-
Step 7
Fill both halves of bath bomb mold with heaping amount of mixture. Press halves together until edges touch
-
Step 8
Remove molds one side at a time and set bomb aside to dry.
