Everything’s coming up roses (and peonies and ranunculus) with this sweet springtime addition. We’ll show you the DIY basics for creating one of your own, including the unexpected addition of wood beads. So grab your floral tape and glue gun and let’s get to crafting!
For this blooming beauty, you’ll need: various sizes of faux flowers (including ranunculus, Sophia roses and peonies), greenery sprays, wood beads, craft acrylic paint, glue gun, floral stem cutters and floral tape.
Build base of garland by layering greenery sprays and wrapping stems together with floral tape as you go. Once desired length is reached, turn last few greenery sprays in opposite direction so ends of garland match and stems are tucked away.
Trim flowers as needed and glue into garland. Tip: Start with larger, focal-point blooms and build around them with smaller blossoms.
Paint wood beads in various colors of acrylic craft paint and let dry.
Hot glue painted beads in clusters and incorporate into garland. Tip: You can also string beads together with cording to lay underneath your garland. Or try hanging them up!
