Leather Fringe Earrings

Step 1

Use flush cutters to cut two 5” lengths of wire.

Step 2

Use round nose pliers to form loop on each end, with loops facing inward. Tip: Feel free to shape both wires at once.

Step 3

Use round object (we used the handle of a hammer) to bend wires into teardrop shapes, with loops facing out. To close earring, pinch loops together, interlocking them. Tip: Hammering with texturing hammer can create a more permanent hold.

Step 4

Cut 10 individual strips of leather from leather fringe.

Step 5

Apply ½” of quick, clear-drying glue on one end of backside of each strip.

Step 6

Starting in middle, fold strip over bottom of teardrop. Hold until glue sets. Repeat until you have five strips on each teardrop.

Step 7

Attach teardrops to ear wires using round nose pliers.
