Project Instructions
-
Step 1
To create marble effect, first tear away small pieces of gold clay and slightly push them into white clay block.
-
Step 2
Set craft clay machine to 2.27mm thickness, roll clay through, and fold. Repeat until desired look is achieved, adding more swatches of gold clay if necessary.
-
Step 3
Cut two circles using 1” circle clay cutter.
-
Step 4
Roll gray granite clay into thin rod and cut two 2” pieces and one ¼” piece. Stack circles on top of each other.
-
Step 5
Wrap 2” gray pieces around bottom of circle and trim edges.
-
Step 6
Insert eye pin through layers as shown. Bake according to the clay’s packaging instructions and let cool. Tip: Use tip of eye pin to pierce hole through ¼” gray piece before baking, creating a bead for next step.
-
Step 7
Use round-nose pliers to loop end of eye pin. Make tassel using thread and feed top tails through ¼” gray bead and looped eye pin. Tie off and trim ends. Optional: Add 1” piece of rolled gold clay underneath gray pieces before baking (previous step). Attach jump ring to top of eye pin and then thread onto necklace chain to complete.
