Egg to Differ
This Easter, we’re painting eggs of a different kind. The result? Springy strands with a bit of DIY charm! Look inside for the how-to.

Project Instructions

Step 1
Roll out clay to approx. ¼" thickness on craft sheet. Cut out shapes as desired. (We used 2 sizes of round clay cutters, pinched at one end to form an egg shape.)

Step 2
Using photo as a guide, poke hole through sides of clay cutouts with ceramic tool. Let clay harden for 10-12 hours, turning over periodically to allow even drying on both sides.

Step 3
Paint background as desired, and let dry. Sketch details with pencil, and fill in with paint. Let dry.

Step 4
Brush on a thin layer of gloss glaze, and let dry.

Step 5
String clay cutouts and beads onto beading cord. Tie cord ends to secure.
