works great for quilitng

I have been using different shades of Kona fabric for borders on my quilts. Good material to work with, and great, consistent color.

Can't go wrong with Kona Cottons

Kona is a wonderful cotton, consistent in color and quality. They have a great variety of colors to choose from. It is my go to for my quilt sashings, borders, and blocks.

Deceptive quality

I’ve quilted with Kona cottons for years. I was excited to find this line at my local Hobby Lobby. I bought 4 yards for a quilt back. When I got home I see that it’s literally half the thickness of other Kona cottons. You can read a newspaper through it.

Kona fabric

This fabric is a higher quality of Kona Fabric than what you can buy at Joann's. I really like it to use with quilting.

All good things must come to an end. Apparently.

I use to use kona in my sewing projects all of the time. It use to be top quality. About 2 years ago they changed something and now it is about half the thickness as it was before. They same is true with JoAnns. What a disappointment.

Black Kona Cotton Fabric

I love the fabric. It’s hard to get at Enterprise, Alabama store. One of the employees lied to me twice. She told me it didn’t come in. I went to the store the whole week & caught her selling the fabric. I stopped shopping at that store.

Kona gone low

This new Kona is not better, it is thinner and not the quality it used to be. I think I will have to pass.

Make sure it's by Robert Kaufman

They showed me The section for Kona cotton. I happily selected four colors Had them cut And brought them home. The quality of 3 was what I expected. One was very thin And it felt Questionable as a whether It would hold together.

Two Konas

There are two kinds of Kona Cottons, the $8.99 is the thicker and the $4.99 the thinner type of cotton.

Kona Fabric

This fabric has a right side and a wrong side which will pill. I made an Irish Chain quilt with just two colors, some squares stayed nice and smooth and some were fuzzed up. It came out beautiful though, I’m making another one being more careful.
