The blades loudly scrape against each other. Resistance is a bit strong. Overall, very unpleasant to use. Feels like I'm using children's safety scissors. And the plastic of the grip really drives that feeling home.
They ARE very sharp though.

I really like them for trimming threads on my quilts. Easy to use and comfortable.

Perfect for trimming threads and cutting slits in curves of fabric. Very sharp, really like soft handle. Also like the soft plastic cover that is provided for the blades. Only negative is the sound they make when the blades rub against each other.
