The metal frame has a rail on the back and near the bottom of the legs, and the frame forms a crisscrossing shape on the sides. Set it out as a place for people to congregate, take information, and sign in!

We just bought this, using it for a breakfast bar in our den, loving it so far
Stained to a darker color
So far so good--I added some stain and coated with water based poly because I needed a little more contrast against the wall color. This is being used as a desk/work space in a mid term rental so it should withstand occasional use.
