Chalk wouldn't work on it
The sign at the store says manufacturer recommends using Chalk (I suppose instead of using a Chalk like pen) but even after following the instructions on back of board to temper it, the Chalk would not write properly. It's more a vinyl surface.
Perfect
I’ve been using one of these for over six months. I use chalk pens and it works great. When wet I can see residue from previous drawings, but when dry you don’t see it. Regular chalk doesn’t work well at all.
Cannot use regular chalk
Provides directions on back to prepare the chalkboard so regular chalk will work--and it does not. I bought 2 and am taking both of them back.
Use a chalk pen
Great for use with a chalk pen. Based on the surface I didn't think regular chalk would work on this and didn't attempt it. Worked well for the project I needed it for. Thick sturdy material.
