Mini skillets rusted after one use
We bought 2 of these mini skillets, used them one time, hand washed them with water no soap. The next day they had little rust spots that just got worse over the next few days even though we didn’t use them again. Do not buy.
cast iron - and functional
Bad reviewer clearly doesn't know how to properly care for cast iron. As with all cast iron, you have to keep it oiled after any washing to prevent rust. Anyone who uses cast iron, knows this. These are cute and fully functional, just re-oil. Simple.
A Teachable Moment
Obviously not everyone knows. There are many young and mature people who haven't grown up with iron skillets. My mom, from the south where they are common, taught me early on to not wash them with soap, dry them over a low flame, cooking oil after cooled.
Quick Personal dessert treat
Bake a chocolate chip or brownie….when done put a scoop of ice cream on top. Heavenly dessert!!!
