Too small
The pot barely sits over my smallest pot which allows steam to come up and over into chocolate being melted.

This is a great size for melting small batches of chocolate. Or double boiler, i really liked it
Great for Wax Melting
I use this to melt small batches of wax for making wax tarts. Works perfect as a double boiler and pours excellent into molds with no overpour or dripping. I will be buying a second one to melt chocolate for dipping.
