Doesn’t work for scrubby yarn

I bought this because using scrubby yarn was making a blister on my finger. This guide doesn’t work for that, the yarn catches too easily.

One and half hand crotcheting

I have my left fingers pinned and an extremely weak thumb activated my wrist bending or straightening. I can slide this on my left finger and use it to hold my yarn giving it some tension. I managed to single crotchet by adapting my technique.
