Worked like a charm
I made a large nativity cake for my Sunday School back in Dec. Used the blue to the night sky, & got a nice graduation of color by how long I sprayed. Used the gold for straw. Worked wonderful and didn't change flavor. Perfect!
More like yellow than gold. Waste of $
Made royal icing unicorn horns for cupcakes for my daughter's birthday. The royal icing is white so I wanted to make them gold. I used the whole can just trying to cover them, but they turned out more like a golden yellow and didn't cover up the white.
did not work for me
I used this on white buttercream and it turned out a orange/yellow color not the gold I was expecting.
Silver works well for me
The silver color comes out the way I want consistently. Occasionally I can't spray it on and need to brush on color to get fine detail work. The brush strokes usually show, but if I let it dry and repeat applications it usually provides full coverage.
Love it!
I've never had a problem with any of the colors. I usually use them on white buttercream. I have used the gold on cupcakes and bows. It always turns out nice. I just shake well and spray. I allow it to dry and apply again! Always perfect and gold!
Gold spray
I’ve used the gold a few times now and been satisfied with its application on fondant and gum paste. It’s not at all glossy but covers well and is metallic.
Great in theory
We purchased the gold spray for custom macarons/cupcakes, etc. we shook the can well and let it dry for more than 3 minutes. While the color was perfect, the taste was horrid. From the first bite to the aftertaste, it was horrible.
