A big waste of money!
I think this is the 2nd time I wrote a review on something. The needle doesn't stay in place, thread get caught up in the bobbin and the handle isn't worth $0.02. Go buy a Speedy Awl!!
Terrible product
Wish I had read the review on this before I bought it. Total crap. Negitve stars if I could
Works good for me
I guess if you don't know how to use it, it could be frustrating. I've used these types of sewing awls for almost 30 years. Never a problem (even this one). I even like having a few of them loaded with the most popular threads that I commonly use.
Terrible
1 star reviews are well deserved. This thing is junk and insanely overpriced. Needle won't stay in, mine didn't even have a hole for the thread to go through to get to the needle. Unexcusable unusable product.
Doesn’t deserve any stars
It’s a waste of many doesn’t even work good
Worst purchase yet!
- No hole for the thread
- Spool does not rotate - tried sanding it down
- Falls apart when put together, I made better things out of wood while camping
- The tool that comes with it doesn’t fit Philip’s head and yes, you need a it
- CRAP
Sewing Awl
As said ya gotta know how to use one first! These low ball reviews obviously don't know how. may I suggest you go to Google or youtube first and learn then buy one. They are not sewing machines..you do the hole punching and then thread it at the needle.
wow so bad
I googled this product because I was confused about how bad it is. I have the same complaints as everyone else. I could deal with how generally cheap the thing is but there is literally no way to thread it.
I know how to use an awl- this is defective
As others said, there is no way to thread the needle and I DO know how to use a leather awl. It never occurred to me to read reviews before purchasing this item.
Consistent with all the other bad reviews
This awl is definitely defective. Sewing awls are supposed to have a hole underneath just above your spool of thread which you put the thread up and through then follow the groove in your needle then threat at the end of the needle, that hole is not there
