Look Better During the Day than at Night
I love LED candles and own many (so safe & convenient). These birch candles don't quite work: they are covered with a veneer of real bark, which looks great by day, but won't let light escape at night. The light is trapped deep down inside the candle.
A very pleased treehugger!
I bought these in spite of the lower reviews, because after searching all other stores, none looked as authentic as these. I knew being real bark that I would not see the candle glow through them. They worked perfect for where I wanted them and lookgreat.

I purchased these to use on tables at my daughter’s outdoor wedding and they were beautiful. I like that the “flame” is deep inside the candle because you don’t see that it’s fake unless you look down on it.
No flickering light
I purchased one of each size of these for the candle holders on my mantle. The bulb is far down inside the candle, so no light projects out of it. They looks great on the outside, but for $47+ for three of them, they should actually project light.
